New foot bridge built at Kimball Pond

Members of the Conservation Commission built a set of simple log footbridges yesterday evening around the beaver pond on Legache Hill Road at the north end of the Kimball Pond Conservation Area. The bridges span about 25 feet.

Kuncanowet Trail Cleanup postponed to June 2

The trail day planed for May 19 was postponed to Saturday, June 2 due to weather. We will meet at 9 am at the trailhead parking lot at the end of Holiday Shore Drive near Gorham Pond.

The Kuncanowet Town Forest and Conservation Area management committee will hold a trail maintenance day Saturday, May 19 from 9:00 am until approximately noon. Work will primarily involve removing branches and fallen trees from the trails. We will meet at the trailhead at the end of Holiday Shore Drive in Dunbarton.


If you come to help, please bring clippers, loppers or a saw. Packing insect repellent and water would also be advisable.
